Class of 2021 senior goodbye

The emotions of anxiousness and uneasiness engulfed me as I traversed these halls on the first day of school. This freshman year would be considered the juncture of my life because I was lost traveling down the unfamiliar aisles of a school I’ve never set foot in before. I didn’t know the faces of my peers surrounding me, nor the teachers who were willing to instruct us. This was a blank canvas for me to paint my path in a world full of opportunity and enthusiasm.

Ever since I was little, I was stuck having to fend for myself. I was separated from my twin brother during middle school, and it has helped me become a better person. I wanted to use this newly found strength during my high school career, and how I used it was up to my imagination.

Time passed and moved on quickly, and these four years have flown by seamlessly. I became adjusted to this place I now call home. I have made wonderful friends and met excellent teachers along the way. I gradually painted my own picture, learning new and interesting things along the way.

The Covid-19 virus hit our lives unexpectedly last year, and it took some time for us to recover from the devastation that it has caused. A lot of my friends and family have suffered from this virus, so I used this as an opportunity to move forward. The weakness in my life did not stand a chance as I have a clear goal in mind to achieve my goals. After looking back, it took me a while to come to terms with everything.

Now that this school has helped me work hard to achieve my goals, I can now focus on my dream in a college I’m proud to be calling my new home. Thank you to all my friends and teachers along the way; I wouldn’t be who I am today without you.
