Collin Woodward

Class of 2021 senior goodbye

Collin+Woodward

My time at Carroll has been very memorable. I made a lot of friends and met the girl of my dreams. I’ve had my ups and downs but so does everybody.

I’m more than happy that my parents sent me to Carroll after my freshman year at Plymouth Whitemarsh. I wasn’t comfortable there and I knew I belonged somewhere else, and Carroll was that somewhere else. The community here is stronger than any other school I’ve been to. If you needed help someone was there; if you were feeling down someone would be there to lift you up.

I would like to thank a very special teacher that I had at Carroll and that would be Mrs. Volpe (Miss Mac). Miss Mac was truly my school mom and helped me get through days that I didn’t wanna even start in the first place. She drove me to be better at math and to actually try in school. She helped me grow back my confidence in math after I had it taken from me in 7th grade when my math teacher would basically pick on me for my low grade. Miss Mac was always there for me and many other students. She never hesitates to help someone (whether she likes them or not) and that’s what Carroll is about.

During my time at Carroll I’ve met my two best friends, Dom and Anthony, and also met the woman I want to marry. These three people alone get me through my day to day, and to think I wouldn’t have even met them if I didn’t transfer.

I’m forever grateful for Carroll and its community and I wouldn’t have wanted to go to any other high school. I can’t believe it’s coming to an end and I wish I could stay a little longer but life moves on. Carroll will always have a special place in my heart. GO PATS!
