When the first day of freshman year came, I didn’t know what to expect really, but I knew it would be great. Sitting in homeroom with 30 kids I had never seen before, after coming from a school where there were 32 kids in the entire grade and everyone knew each other, was overwhelming. I didn’t think I would ever get to know all these people. As the years went on, I made new friends with the people in my classes and now I can say I know most of this grade.

I have learned that this community is truly amazing with the generosity and compassion shown by both the faculty and students. Each year here has been so different than the last, especially this year and junior year. It really stinks that we missed a lot of junior year and this senior year was so different, but we managed to stay together as a community. Making memories with different people each year is something I will treasure forever and I am thankful that this school gave me the opportunity to.

I have had amazing teachers over the past 4 years, each pushing and helping us learn new information. Knowing I could always get help when needed is a privilege to have in a school and I can only hope there will always be people like that in everyone’s lives. I would like to thank all the teachers I have had for the help they have given me and my classmates and for helping me. A special thank you to Mrs. Carpenter. Art class has been my favorite class for the past years and Mrs. Carpenter has consistently made it both informative and fun.

I will miss a lot about Carroll: the people, events, campus, even the school spirit in the community. One final thank you to Carroll: for preparing me not just for college, but for the many adventures ahead in my life.
