Sean Bruce

Class of 2021 senior goodbye

My four years at Carroll have been a journey that I will never forget. Lots of things have happened, such as meeting new people, learning new things, and even playing soccer.

The first people I want to thank are my soccer coaches. The soccer team at Carroll was never really great and suffered a lot of defeats throughout the years I was here, but that does not mean it was not fun. Playing soccer at Carroll was an eye opener for me. It was the first thing I did at Carroll my freshman year. I was able to meet some classmates though soccer before school, which helped me develop friends during school. I was also able to meet a lot of upperclassmen and play soccer with guys that were double my size. As years passed, the team did not get better but it was still a memory I will cherish and the friendships I made.

Another group of people I would like to thank are my teachers. They have helped me throughout the year at Carroll and helped me to develop into the person I am today. Even though there are times where the teachers annoyed me with the piles of homework or projects and tests, I know that they are not doing it because they hate me and the other students; they do it for our greater good. The teachers I have met and the help and support they have given me enabled me to persevere through high school and not have such a hard time.

Lastly, I would like to thank all those who were a part of Kairos. Kairos was an amazing experience and something that I will always cherish. Kairos helped me with my faith with God and tried to strengthen it. It also taught me more about myself and things that I never thought about.

In conclusion, Carroll was an amazing high school and I would never trade the memories and friends I made with anything else. Time went by so fast these four years but I know I will always be a part of the Carroll community.
