Elizabeth “Bess” Fry
Class of 2021 senior goodbye
June 16, 2021
As I reflect on my four years of high school, it makes me sad because they have been some of the best years of my life. I am a very nostalgic person. From the moment I started school at Carroll, it felt like home. I have met so many people that have helped and taught me things, as well as laughed and smiled with me. They have brought so much light into my life. It has been four crucial years of growing up and Carroll was the perfect place for me. All of my experiences at Carroll have shaped me into who I am today.
High school has given me opportunities, longtime friends, and life long memories. I am forever grateful for finding some of my best friends who have shown me true friendship. I have learned to always find joy in the little things and to appreciate the moments I hold my dear to me. There have been a bunch of highs and lows, one being that I am graduating in a global pandemic. I would have never guessed that. I have definitely learned over the past year to never take anything for granted.
As I prepare to move onto the next chapters of my life, I want to thank everyone who was there for me and encouraged me throughout high school, especially my support system, my family, who loved and guided me through it all. I am so grateful that I was able to spend two years with my older sister as well as two years with my younger brother during my time at Carroll. Too bad my other brother is too young. I also hope that all of my classmates find their journey and are happy, because that is what matters. These four years worth of goodbyes will be the hardest part for me.
