Senior goodbye: Jaime Grant

Jaime Grant

Dear Mrs. Gimpel: Thank you for educating me, helping me to pass, and helping me to graduate. Thank you for helping me with my college essay. I wouldn’t have done it without you. During my hard times, thank you for being there for me, supporting me, and your kind words. Especially thank you for being there for me and helping me out when I lost an amazing father. I bet my father would be so happy with everything you and the other teachers have done for me. I’m so grateful to have a kind, funny, intelligent, sweet teacher like you. I wish you and your family the best in life and wish all positivity to come to you and your family.

Dear Mrs. Faris, Mrs. Havy, Saint Katherine staff, Saint Katherine teachers, & Saint Katherine students: Thank you for everything you guys have done for my family and me. I’m going to especially miss your class and school the most. I will definitely visit the class and teachers. Thank you for helping out my father, brother, and me. Thank you for always being there for me during my lowest times. To be honest when I lost my father I was devastated… My father is the rock for my brother and me. My father played both roles of being a parent. He was a father and a mother. When my father went to Heaven, I was sad because I thought my brother and I could have him longer. But during my lowest times you guys were there for me and gave me the strength to finally start going back to my classes. You guys made me smile, cry out of happy tears, laugh when I was breaking down deep inside. You guys, my brother, my boyfriend, his family, and friends made me forget about the pain and are one of the reasons why I made it through.

I’m so happy my father is in Heaven now with his mother, friends, and family. He’s no longer in pain. I recently started seeing a lot of butterflies lately. I believe it is my father watching over Johnny (my brother) and me. I KNOW my father is so proud of Johnny and me. I KNOW my father is strongly grateful to you guys. I wish you guys the best in life. I’m sending you guys all love, positivity, and happiness. I will miss you guys A LOT.

My advice to everyone is: “God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers because God knows his children can overcome anything that life throws in their way.” – Jimmy Joseph Grant. My father always told my brother and me this quote when things got hard. This quote means no matter what life throws at you, you can always overcome it in many ways. When we fall down, in the end we always get right back up.

Sincerely, Jaime Ann Grant
