Dear Underclassmen, 

When I first transferred to Carroll in the beginning of my senior year, I had no idea what to expect. I was nervous to branch out, do the things I wanted to, and be myself. I quickly learned that everyone is so welcoming and helpful. The staff are truly sweet and will help you to do and be anything you want to. There are many opportunities right under your noses that you just have to look for and explore. Especially during your senior year, do not be afraid to go after the things that interest and inspire you.

One of the most important tips I could give as a graduating senior is to not procrastinate. Procrastination is truly the only thing that kept me from having straight A’s every quarter this school year. Doing big, overwhelming assignments little by little is definitely key. Waiting until the last day before the due date of that 3 page paper is always the worst decision. What’s also super important to do is turn your work in on time. It definitely sounds a lot simpler than it is, but if you stick to it you will do just fine. Remember that you’re working towards graduating and doing great things one day.

Overall, get what you have to get done and always have fun. High school is supposed to be one of the best times of your life, and you can make it that way. Definitely loosen up and go out of your comfort zone. When it comes to making friends, talk to new people. There are so many people that I’ve begun talking to in the last few months of school that I wish I got to know before. Do not wish your days away because before you know it, they will be. These four years will fly by and you will wish you cherished the fun memories with your friends and community forever. Make the best time out of what you have left, coming from grateful for all the laughs and achievements but sad because it’s over senior.
