Senior goodbye: Emma Jacobs

Emma Jacobs

Dear Archbishop Carroll,

The last four years have been the best of my life. The experiences that I have had academically, athletically, and socially have prepared me for the next phase of my life. This school has helped me grow into the person I am today. I look forward to attending West Chester University in the fall and feel confident that I will be able to succeed there because of my time here at Carroll.

Academically, the teachers here have been great. I have learned so much from each and every one of them. I have not only enjoyed learning the lessons that they have taught, but how they have taught them. During my time here, my work ethic and time management skills have greatly improved. I have been pushed to do the very best that I can. I would not have been able to do it without the help of these amazing teachers. I am so grateful for all the teachers being so supportive and providing a healthy classroom environment.

The athletics here at Carroll were so much fun to be a part of. I was fortunate to be able to play volleyball during my time here at Carroll. We won the Catholic League in my freshman year and continued to play great beyond that accomplishment. The coaches and the team were so helpful. Our team was always pushed and encouraged to be the best versions of ourselves on and off the court. The biggest thing that I will take away from Carroll volleyball is the value of teamwork. Carroll athletics has helped me in so many ways. It has taught me countless valuable lessons and I have built lasting friendships with my teammates.

The social aspect of Carroll has been my favorite part of my time here. The pep rallies, dances, and sports events have been so much fun. I always looked forward to attending these events and they are definitely going to be missed. Over these four years, I have made so many friendships that I know will continue to be a big part of my life. Carroll has for sure become like a second home to me. I am going to miss my Carroll family so much next year.

I want to thank the entire Carroll community including the administrators, teachers, coaches, friends, and everyone who has been a part of making the last four years the best ever.

Sincerely,

Emma Jacobs
