Senior goodbye: Camila Pierini

Dear Archbishop Carroll:

Although I technically already graduated from high school in Venezuela, I’m glad I got to be part of Carroll this year. It was the perfect opportunity to experience a different culture, make new friends, and gain a global perspective.

The teachers and faculty always regard my questions with patience and thoughtfulness. They took the time to not only answer my questions but also to make sure I knew what to do next. Not knowing and having no control over a situation can ignite anxiety. Thank you for caring and going beyond what is expected. I used to get so frustrated for not having answers even to my simplest doubts. I thought
that I had to figure it out on my own and I felt incapable when I couldn’t, so thank you for teaching me that it is OK to not know how to do things the first time you try and to make what would have been a stressful experience, a rewarding one.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Carroll students, especially the friends I made here, for teaching me so much and helping me throughout these past nine months. Everyone I have gotten to meet has been kind. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing me
with a safe place in an unknown environment.

I hope you keep growing and improving,

Camila Pierini
