Senior goodbye: Paul Rogan
June 8, 2023
Dear Archbishop Carroll,
I never thought I would be sitting here writing an essay on how I finished high school this early. The last four years have been close to the quickest four years of my life. I have met some of the most amazing people at this school and I am not ready to graduate at all. As they say, all good things must come to an end! As my high school experience winds down and I begin to get ready for college, I will never forget the amazing memories and people that went along with me through the journey.
Firstly, I would like to thank my mother and father for everything they do for me day in and day out. The sacrifices they go through enabled me to be able to get to where I am today. Also, I would like to thank my friends who helped me when I needed a helping hand. A lot of these people will be my best friends for life, and I cannot wait to continue the memories that have yet come along. My favorite memory with all of my friends to this day happened just recently. We decided to go up the mountains and spend the weekend together. We spent two nights in the Poconos all together in two houses and it was an experience to never be forgotten. With all the graduation parties and senior week still yet to come, I am happy to say we still have a few more weeks to make the most of it.
I wish the best to all of the underclassmen and the best of luck in their future decisions. Picking the college I would like to attend next year was pretty stressful for me in the beginning but once I broke down the thought process and followed my heart, I began to fall in love with my school. I am so thankful for the people who helped me along the way in choosing this school and I am beyond grateful for everyone who has helped me. I leave some of my fellow underclassmen friends with the advice of being open minded and stress free as they start their journey on deciding where to attend college in the future. It may seem scary and quite overwhelming at first, but you always have to remember everything happens for a reason!
