Senior goodbye: Jenna Vega

Dear juniors,

This is your time now. Take it all in. All of the people that you’ve been around for the last four years will soon be a memory. I know it sounds scary. Trust me. I felt the same way. The reality is kicking in:  you’ll be having your last first day, last homecoming, last sports games,  last prom, and you’re graduating soon. You may be thinking that a year is a long time from now but it goes by quicker than you think. Each day feels like it goes by in a matter of seconds.

Make as many memories as you can, get involved with the community, and try something new that you haven’t done before. Speak to someone new in your class who you may not have talked to before over the years. Make the most of the time that you have left at Carroll. Cherish every single day that you walk into school, and see your friends, classmates, and teachers.

My biggest advice would be to not get distracted. Make sure that you stay focused, stay on top of your work, and finish everything that is required of you for college on time. I know everyone says that junior year is the most important year as far as academics, and while this is true, your senior year grades matter just as much. You can get accepted to your dream college based on your junior year grades, but it can be taken away if your grades slip senior year. Do your college applications on time! The earlier you get it done, the less stress you will have. Have a teacher or advisor look over your applications before you submit them. You want to show these universities the absolute best version of yourself. Also, this may seem annoying to you, but please take advantage of going to guidance for help with anything.
