Senior goodbye: K. Skai Johnson

Dear fellow students of the Class of 2023,

As we approach the end of our high school journey, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia. It’s hard to believe that our time here has come to an end, but I’m grateful for the memories we’ve made together.

I remember the first day of freshman year like it was yesterday. We were so nervous, and we didn’t know what to expect. Nonetheless, we quickly found our way and formed a bond that has lasted throughout our high school years. We’ve had some amazing experiences together, from cheering on our sports teams — the girls teams of course — to staying up late, studying for exams. We’ve celebrated each other’s successes and supported each other through the tough times. We’ve had some unforgettable adventures along the way.

I’m proud of how much we’ve grown during our time in high school. We’ve faced challenges and overcome obstacles, and we’ve learned so much about ourselves and each other along the way. We’ve become more confident, more resilient, and more compassionate. We’ve developed skills that will serve us well in the future.  As we prepare to move on to the next chapter of our lives, I know that we’ll carry the lessons we’ve learned and the memories we’ve made with us. We’ll always have the good times we shared in high school to look back on, and we’ll always have each other to rely on.

Thank you for being a part of my high school experience, and for being a friend that I’ll always cherish. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, and I hope that we’ll stay in touch.

Sincerely,

Skai Flossie Johnson
