The new Archbishop Caroll chemistry teacher, Ms. Aigul Tokayeva, made an early exit when she left on Friday.
Ms. Tokayeva, known by many students as Ms. T, started in Carroll at the beginning of the school year. However, she decided to leave the post last week, saying the school was too far away.
Ms. Tokayeva offered a warm farewell to her students.
“I will miss all of you guys, and thank you for everything,” said Ms. T in her going away speech to her third period class.
The students were upset at her leaving.
“I don’t want Ms. T to leave,” said sophomore Mencia Redruello. “She was really nice.”
Ms. Tokayeva’s third period class threw the departing teacher a going away party. A few students bought treats from Chick-fil-A and Dunkin Donuts for the class, and Ms. T played music for her students.
“I’m going to miss Ms. T,” said sophomore Olivia Gosseaux. “Her going away party in the third period was a lot of fun.”
