Archbishop Carroll put up a fight against Archbishop Ryan’s swim team, but lost.
Carroll’s girls team lost against Ryan’s girls team with a score of 65-28. The boys team lost with a score of 49-37.
Despite the overall loss, Carroll’s girls team had huge individual wins during the meet. Junior Annabel Cook won the 50-meter freestyle. Carroll’s girls relay team, featuring junior Maddie Formica, senior Gracie Brogan, senior Gianna Toland and junior Annabel Cook, also came away with a win.
“Our relay gave it their all even though we were exhausted,” Toland said.
Carroll’s boys team also had wins. Sophomore Konnor Roselle won the 500m and freshman Owen Gallagher won the 100m fly.
“I made sure to listen to my music and focus on pacing myself to get the best time I could,” Roselle said
In addition, freshman Nathan Moc shaved 4 seconds off his original time.
