The class of 2025 celebrated its junior prom on Saturday night at Archbishop Carroll High School.
It took place in Carroll’s west gym on April 6 from 7 to 10 p.m. The theme of the event was casino night.
The gym was covered in red, white and black decorations. Decks of cards were scattered around and a Las Vegas sign covered the wall. The event was catered; students enjoyed buffet-style meals.
Tickets were $75 per person and $150 per couple.
“It was a really fun night,” said junior Sofia Palumbi. “I went with one of my best friends and we both had a blast!”
Junior Rameer Woods agreed.
“My favorite part definitely was Mr. Valenti dressing us as Elvis!” said Woods.
Mr. Chris Fryburger, the assistant principal for student life, was the main organizer of the event. Teachers and staff were also present to set up and moderate.
Decorations used during the prom will be used in the upcoming Carroll C.A.F.E. on April 13, which also has the same theme.
“This was my first prom and it has just gotten me excited for more events like this!” said junior An Vu.
