Dear Archbishop Carroll,
Thank you for four years of great education and for turning me into a better student. With the knowledge I’ve gained from Archbishop Carroll, I feel I am ready to take on the next steps of life in both work and in college. Over the past four years, I’ve had some incredible teachers who have made me a better person and a more efficient student, and their influence will continue to guide me even after I leave Carroll.
I would like to say thank you and goodbye to the teachers whom I’ve gotten to know over the years and wish them the best in their future. Whether it’s here at Carroll, or in retirement, these teachers deserve to be thanked for putting up with our class for four years.
My favorite memory at Carroll was the time I spent with the hockey team and all the friends I made along the way. Being named captain of the team was one of the best moments of my time at Carroll. I wish the season would have gone better, but it was still a great experience getting to lead my team after four years of playing for Carroll. A great memory I have of Carroll hockey is from my sophomore year, when we went all the way to the finals. Even though we lost that season, we still had a great time beating every team in the league to make us 12-0.
My advice to underclassmen is to get your work done and try to stay on top of things. The easiest way to pass any class is to stay on top of your work: when you have time to do it in class or at home it’s already done, and you can work on the next assignment. My advice to the seniors is to enjoy your time at Carroll because it goes by quickly, and before you realize it, you will be standing on the stage receiving your diploma. It gets easier with senior year but that doesn’t mean slack off; you still have work to do, and you still have classes to pass. Finally, join a club or a sports team and make the most of your time here at Carroll because before you know it, it’s over.
Thank you, Carroll.
