Dear friends,
I am writing this letter to say thank you. Tyhir, Gabe, AJ, Lowell, Samir, Chris, Pete, Albert, Luke, Isaiah, TJ, and Che: you guys have made my high school experience truly memorable. Your friendship and support have made significant impacts on my life, more than you’ll ever know. Whether it was shared laughter at lunch, jokes on the bus, talking about sports or anything else, I’m truly blessed to call y’all my friends.
Since going to pre-k, Gabe, you’ve been someone I could call a friend. I still remember our pre-k graduation and now we’re about to walk the stage at our high school graduation. Gabe, I want to wish you nothing but the best in your next chapter at UConn and always know you’ll have someone praying for you.
Tyhir, I’ve known you for nearly a decade now and wouldn’t trade that for nothing. You’re one of the funniest, most energetic, and loyal people I know. You’ve always had my back and I hope you know I’ll always have yours. Even though you’re going to IUP and I’m attending Penn State, I hope our friendship only gets stronger. I know God has some great plans for you in the future.
AJ, I wanna say thank you for helping me become a better person. We both had our issues in middle school, but to mature and get past that is truly special. I also want to say thank you for being the first to play with me on Xbox and it’s something I’ll never forget.
Samir, you’ve helped better my faith on Kairos more than you’ll ever know. You’re a great friend and your actions don’t go unnoticed. I truly enjoyed that we were able to go on the Mr. Valenti trip together and make good memories.
Chris, I can’t say thank you enough. You’ve been someone I could call a friend since middle school. We’ve had a lot of fun memories and I truly want to say thank you. I know we didn’t get to finish at Carroll together, but I know God has other plans for you that will make you successful in life.
Lowell, you already know what it is. You’re one of my closest friends and we can talk about anything. We can talk about sports, music, and life, and the conversation can last for hours. You’re one of the funniest and most delusional people I know. Your takes on Drake and Kevin are awful.
Isaiah, we shared so many memories from playing on the game all night to talking to each other in Mrs. Young class to remain awake. You’ve always been a great friend and I wish others truly knew how funny you are.
Now Luke and Che, y’all have made me cry from laughing too hard. The things y’all say are truly hysterical. We’ve shared many good memories and hopefully our bond can only grow.
TJ, if someone asked me who the face of Carroll is, I would say you. You light up every room you’re in and make everyone laugh. I can honestly say I’ve never been bored when around you. WCU doesn’t even know that next year they’re getting a comedian and a future NFL player.
Finally, Albert and Pete, y’all too are some of the craziest but funny people in all of Carroll. You both have brought some slang to Carroll that will never be forgotten. We’ve shared a lot of great memories from the halls to the bus, but I’ll never forget bus 750, which will go down in the Carroll history books one day.
With all that being said I love y’all, man, and y’all impact will stay with me forever.
With sincere appreciation,
Mason Moore
