Dear Archbishop Carroll,
Thank you for giving me the best four years. During my time, here at Archbishop Carroll, I have learned, found my friends, and grown within myself. I have learned through my classes at Carroll and the people I have met. I have learned about American History and learned AP Statistics. As a senior at a high school, I have learned a lot, but I could not repeat a single fact from any of my classes. A big thank you to my teachers who helped me when I needed it, gave me grace when an assignment was turned in late, and knew when to push me to become a better student. Without their help, I would not have been able to become who I am today.
Thank you for giving me classes that I could find my friends in. I have found my close friends throughout the years. I have grown closer, grown apart, and then become even closer than before. Thank you for having clubs and activities that I could use to grow closer to. I have used the Archbishop Carroll Theatre Society to meet new people and create a bond with them. During my time at Carroll, I have been a part of 7 shows and have made friendships during all of them. In my freshman year, I met other freshmen whom I might not have met before due to COVID-19. In my senior year, I got to know and grow closer to the underclassmen one last time.
Thank you Carroll for letting me grow as a person. I have learned so much about myself during these four years. I have learned how to be nicer to myself. I have also learned how to be kinder as a person. I have learned about myself through my friendships and the people I have met. Overall, I have noticed I am pieces of the people around me even if I have known them for a millisecond in my life they have changed me, just as Carroll has.
Sincerely,
Kirstin Blake McGarvey
