Dear Unclassemen and Incoming Class,
As I wrap up my four wonderful years at Archbishop John Carroll, I would like to share a few memories from my time here. Like most people who start at a new school; I was nervous about meeting new friends, keeping up with my studies, and getting involved with the community.
Of all the clubs I joined, the Pro-life Club impacted me the most. Under the moderation of Mr. Kirsch and Miss Carpenter I have attended Stand Up For Life Dinners, Conferences, and Pro-Life Marches, prayed outside an abortion clinic, hosted the first annual Respect Life Week, and was mentored by these leaders as I took on the role of President this year. Through these events I have learned to stand strong in my beliefs while engaging in meaningful conversations that voice both sides’ point of view on Pro-Life issues. I have made so many friends in our club and other school’s Pro-Life clubs.
Another program that has also strengthened my character throughout high school was Kairos. Although I can not truly divulge the secrets of Kairos; I can definitely tell you that it is an amazing retreat that you will never regret going on. During the four day retreat last June, I bonded with 30 of my classmates in ways that no one else could understand.
My growth as a young adult to succeed both in college and beyond would not have been possible without the help from the faculty and staff at Archbishop John Carroll. So as I sign out I would like to say that my time at Carroll was full of unforgettable memories that I will cherish forever and I encourage you to get involved, be yourself and stay close to Jesus.
Sincerely,
Rose Procaccini
