Dear Archbishop Carroll,
Thank you for giving me an amazing four years of high school. Throughout my four years at Carroll, I have grown from a scared freshman into a mature and confident young woman. This school has taught me the importance of hard work and dedication to all that I am doing. Not only has Archbishop Carroll helped me to improve in academics and sports, but it has also helped me to grow in my faith. I am grateful for all the amazing friends that I made during my time at Carroll. The friendships I have made will last a lifetime. Some core memories from my four years have stuck with me.
Since my first day at Archbishop Carroll, I have been a part of the varsity girl’s soccer team. I am grateful for all the ways this team has helped me to grow as an individual. I learned to work with teammates who were both older and younger than me. Because I was a captain in my junior and senior years, I learned leadership skills that will stick with me forever. I am grateful for all the friendships and memories I made on this team. I thank my teammates for helping me to have an amazing senior season and always pushing me to be the best. I am grateful that Carroll led me to be a part of such an amazing team. Another memory that sticks with me is Kairos.
Before attending Kairos I was very nervous and did not know what to expect. I decided to go because of all the good things I heard about it. After experiencing this retreat, I learned the importance of trusting God in my life. It helped me to grow closer to God, my classmates, and my teachers. I am grateful to all my leaders for making the Kairos experience so amazing. Since the retreat, I have felt the closest to God that I have my entire life. I thank Carroll for allowing my classmates and me to partake in the Kairos retreat.
Sincerely,
Olivia Stout
