Dear Archbishop Carroll,
I can’t believe my time at Carroll is coming to an end. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting me during an usual start to my freshman year, challenging me to achieve more than I expected, and providing an environment where I could form friendships with teachers and classmates that I believe will last a lifetime.
Beginning high school during a pandemic was a unique experience. Learning from home, coming to school part-time, wearing masks every day, and having to navigate the different paths we needed to take to get ourselves to class was definitely a challenge. Once we settled into the unusual routine, we all realized we were in this thing together and formed deep and meaningful connections that carried through our time at Carroll.
I am thankful that I had the chance to challenge myself with Dual Enrollment classes at La Salle. When I heard about the opportunity, my initial reaction was that it wasn’t a good fit for me, but I took a chance and I’m so glad I did. I learned a lot about myself and my abilities, gained valuable knowledge about the college experience, and met a great group of friends that challenged me to do my best.
My favorite part of my Carroll experience has been the friendships I made along the way. Interesting classes, sporting events, Kairos, golf matches, and hanging out on the weekends has given me the opportunity to bond with and grow closer to the classmates and teachers that supported me over the last four years. I know that the connections I made here will carry on long after our time at Carroll comes to an end.
I will always be grateful for the opportunities and connections provided by Carroll. I will never forget the four years I spent here and I will always be proud to be a Patriot!
