Dear Carroll,
Thank you so much for all of the great memories throughout these eventful last four years. Carroll has really built my character and various virtues to succeed and want to succeed in the next chapter of my life. Through athletics, academics, faith and the school community, Carroll built my foundation for a life of building and prosperity in the future.
Even though I have not been on successful athletic teams here at Carroll, losing so much has taught me that I hate losing. This is a unique aspect that I never thought I would have to go through, but it has taught me valuable lessons of virtue and leadership that I would not have received anywhere else. Athletics have also given me the opportunity to learn how to be a better follower as well. During my underclassmen years, getting bossed around by the senior captains set me straight and taught me that you have to be a great follower to be a great leader.
The courses I have taken at Carroll have made me a well rounded and strong student. Carroll pushed me academically to be my best self in the classroom. All of the teachers really cared about my growth as a student and that is not just talking about grades. I have built strong bonds with teachers here at Carroll that will last a lifetime and I am forever grateful to have met these great people. My classmates also pushed me to try my hardest for success since we were all in friendly competition to see who could score the highest on tests and on the report card. Thank you Carroll for teaching me time management, especially Mrs. Gimpel.
Last but not least, thank you Carroll for the tremendous opportunity to grow in my faith as a firm and believing Catholic Christian. Coming in to Carroll I would not say my faith was the strongest, but this last year here has given me the opportunity to grow closer to Jesus Christ. Kairos 113 lit a fire that will last a lifetime and I am so grateful to have spent that week with such great people.
Thank you Carroll for everything.
Sincerely,
James Wright, Class of 2024
