Dear Mom and Dad,
Where do I begin? As the last days of my high school career come to an end, I would like to thank you for pushing me to always be great. As I soon walk across the stage and receive my diploma, I want you to know that as much as it is mine, it’s yours too. Not only have you both given me life, but you both have given me every tool and opportunity to become who I am. Even when I make mistakes, I never have to wonder if your love will disappear. Both of you have been the silent strength behind every achievement, and the steady hands guiding me through every challenge. Thank you for always believing in me and making me understand there’s nothing in this world I can’t accomplish. Thank you for making me feel safe, loved, and supported.
As I close this chapter called high school and begin my future, I carry with me the lessons you’ve taught, and the love you’ve provided. You’ve taught me the value of hard work, the importance of kindness, and the power of perseverance. You’ve given up so much only to see me grow and succeed. One of the many things that I’ll forever admire about both of you is how you’ve always put me first. I’ve seen all the things you’ve done, and trust me when I say they never go unnoticed. Your sacrifices are a huge part of who I am today. Saying goodbye to this phase of my life is a very bittersweet moment. As I was scared to start high school, you guys were there to guide me through it. Now, as I start this new chapter called college, I know you will be there to support me each step of the way.
Once again, I thank you for the unconditional love that you have shown me. Thank you for shaping me into the person I am today. I appreciate the sense of security and stability you’ve provided me with. Thank you for the memories, laughter, and comfort. Thank you for letting me be me. You guys will forever be my biggest inspiration. I love you endlessly.
Love,
Ebony
