To the Carroll Community,
Thank you for welcoming me into the Carroll community. I transferred my junior year to Carroll and loved it since the first day I shadowed. Everyone at Carroll is friendly and the student body is well bonded together as we all support each other’s goals until we graduate. I played volleyball my junior year and loved it. I grew close to my team members and learned many valuable lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I learned self discipline is key when working toward a goal. I also learned teamwork and that you should always support one another and encourage them to keep working hard.
My favorite memory of Carroll was Kairos. Kairos is a religious retreat where I get to bond with my classmates and get to know people I am not close with. This retreat completely changed my outlook on a lot of things, especially religion. My relationship with God was strongly impacted and I am so grateful I had this opportunity. I had my doubts about this retreat and was planning on not attending. I am so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to join this retreat because it was truly life-changing. My advice to all incoming seniors would be to sign up immediately.
I’d like to thank all of my teachers at Carroll for a great two years. I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for their support and advice. My teachers have always looked out for me, especially in times where I struggled. The teachers at Carroll not only give a great education but they push you to give your work your best efforts. I am very proud of my academic achievements at Carroll and do not think I would have been this academically successful at any other school. My advice for all underclassmen and incoming seniors would be to take everything you experience as a lesson to grow. I also would say live in the moment because this time goes by very fast. I wish everyone luck in the Carroll community and I am sad to say goodbye.
Sincerely,
Lola Mortelliti
