Dear Current and Future Archbishop Carroll Community,
To my home for the last four years, thank you. Thank you for all of the memories. Thank you for giving me the best high school experience I could have asked for. As my time at Archbishop Carroll comes to a close, I am overfilled with excitement for what’s to come and great sadness about what I am leaving behind. From football games and homecoming dances to being surrounded by an amazing community each day, it is all I could have asked for. Looking back on my past four years, I feel overwhelming gratitude. I am lucky to be a part of a community that genuinely values each person. I am a part of a community that builds the foundation to live a faith-based life. I have countless memories of these halls and the people I have met here.
I was given the best friends I could have asked for, and I will cherish the relationships I have made here. Whether it is the friendly greetings from acquaintances passing by in the hallways or those friends I could sit with for hours talking about anything; I am forever grateful for each relationship and each opportunity this school has given me. There are not many schools that have a community like ours. The relationships built between teachers and students are something so unique to Carroll.
I advise all underclassmen and future Carroll students to slow down and truly enjoy what they are experiencing. As a freshman, I never understood how quickly high school would go by. Everyone always talks about how quickly this time goes by, but you do not realize it until it ends. For me, that time has come, and high school is over. Do not forget always to take a moment to stop and look around. Make as many friendships as possible. Enjoy each school mass and event. Go to every sporting event that you can. Say thank you to all of your teachers. Finally, value every memory you make. Please continue to carry on the Carroll school spirit as we have done these past four years. I just hope you value the memories and experiences because choosing this school has been one of my best decisions.
