Dear Archbishop Carroll,
As my time at Archbishop Carroll is coming to an end with just one week before graduation, I am sad to say goodbye to the place I have spent so much time at for the past three and a half years. It feels like just yesterday it was my first day at Carroll as a little freshman transfer. I remember being so terrified to start in a new school in the middle of the year, but Carroll welcomed me with warm arms. I am so grateful I have been able to make so many new friends and experience so many new and fun opportunities.
I have made more memories than I can even count here, along with friendships I know will last forever. Many of these friends I made through various different clubs and activities I participated in. I made many of my closest friends and best memories in ACTS. I met my now best friend, Ellie Clarke, during the production of Footloose. My favorite memory during that show was my first conversation with Ellie which was the most ridiculous conversation ever. Little did I know that conversation was going to lead to such an amazing friendship. She is not the only person I got the pleasure of acting with and befriending. I stood by Rachel and John John’s sides in the Little Mermaid. I experienced Jake and Immaculata’s magic in James and the Giant Peach. I cowered in fear as a munchkin with Angie when Fern came out as the Wicked Witch. There are far too many fond memories and amazing people to talk about in this short letter. I would like to say an overall thank you to all the fantastic people in ACTS for making the last two years here at Carroll unforgettable!
In November I got the privilege to go on Kairos 112. Kairos was one of the best things that I could have ever done. I got so much closer to many of my friends and made new friends, Jess, Jason, Mariam, Nilani, Zaz and so many more. I then got to lead on Kairos with some pretty awesome teachers and students. I was able to lead my best friends, and I got so close to people I never thought I would. The teachers on Kairos, and just at Carroll in general have truly helped me to be the person I am today. Carroll is truly losing an amazing teacher with Mrs. Gimped retiring. I know I will miss her, and I am so grateful for all that she has done for me. I am grateful for all the teachers that had helped me throughout my years here; especially Mr. Fry and Mr. Cummings. They are fantastic people and taught me so many things. I will truly miss Archbishop Carroll, but I am excited to see the amazing things to come. I know the upcoming senior class is going to change Carroll for the better.
Love,
Annalisa
