Dear Archbishop Carroll,
I would like to put forth my thanksgiving for the past four years as a Carroll student. What started off as an unpredictable freshman year has turned into years of memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Not only has Carroll kept me educated and engaged, but it has provided me with the most amazing friends, teachers, and peers that I could have imagined. The staff here has put their best foot forward every day in order to improve the experiences of their students. I have had the privilege of being taught by such amazing teachers who truly care about their students, and not just their grades. I have been changed for the better by some of these teachers because they have given me a new perspective and outlook on my life. They have encouraged me to be resilient, hard-working, kind, grateful, and generous, just as they have been to me.
Aside from the Carroll faculty, the friendships that I have made in the past four years are ones that will last a lifetime. I have been lucky enough to find a group of people who are like family to me, and I never would have found them if it hadn’t been for Carroll. The memories that I have made with these people are some that I will never forget. They have given me the motivation to get up and come to school everyday without worry or anxiety. I know that they always have my back and I can count on them for anything.
I feel so fortunate to look back on high school and appreciate my time spent at Carroll, because I know that not everyone is in that same position. I accredit that feeling to the wonderful Archbishop Carroll community, who has never failed to make me feel welcome and cared for. I am grateful to have been a part of teams and clubs that have allowed me to meet new people and have new experiences. Due to this, I have been able to come out of my shell over the years and show my personality to its fullest extent. Thank you Archbishop Carroll.
