Halloween is on the horizon at Carroll, and students are already making plans for how they are going to spend the holiday and how they are going to dress up.
“I am going to my friend’s house for Halloween,” said sophomore Julia DiCarlo. “We’re going to have candy, dinner, hangout, and play games.”
DiCarlo isn’t the only one planning to spend Halloween with her friends.
“I’m going trick or treating with my friend in her neighborhood and after that I am going to sleep over at her house,” said sophomore Kimmy Zhu.
In addition to time with their friends, students are also planning costumes.
“My friends and I are being minions because we saw it online and thought it was an easy costume to pull together,” said DiCarlo.
Other students who have planned costumes include freshman Avyanna Elberti and her friend, who have decided to dress up as pirates.
The other aspect of Halloween that students are excited for is the candy. They had a lot of different favorite candies, although a lot involve chocolate.
“It’s probably got to be Hershey’s chocolate,” said Zhu when asked what her favorite was.
Other students’ favorites included Kit Kats, Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, Twix, regular Airheads, Airheads Extreme Bites, Sour Patch Kids, Ring Pops, Milky Ways and Milk Duds.
The students aren’t the only ones showing their Halloween spirit. The Carroll staff has also pitched in to the Halloween feeling at Carroll by decorating the hallways with fall decorations.
The seniors each have pumpkins hung up on a wall with their names on them, surrounding a sign that says “Our Senior Patch.” There are also garlands of fall leaves across the ceilings in the main hallways.
