On Wednesday night, the Archbishop Carroll girls bowling team lost to St. Hubert’s, 1875-1061.
Despite this, they seemed to have a great time.
“Bowling is fun,” said freshman Sofie McClelland. “I’m doing it for fun.”
The varsity team started off strongly, with two girls reaching over 100 points as their final scores.
The second match wasn’t their best, but they were consistently hitting pins every shot for the majority of the game and they got the most strikes that round.
The third match was the girls’ best, with three girls hitting 100 and the team’s overall highest score.
“They were tough, but we did well,” said junior Riley Schwarz. “I think we could play better, but we did great for only our third or fourth match.”
The team is looking ahead to the next match.
“This was not the best game, but I think the girls just need to work on their form and they will do better next time,” said Ms. Brianne Branco.
