On Tuesday night, the Archbishop Carroll girls bowling team lost to Little Flower with a score of 1,512-1,101.
The girls lost the first match 463-361. Their scores were decent, but no one broke 100.
“We weren’t locked in, but it’s only going to go up from here,” said junior Riley Schwarz.
Although they went into the second match optimistically, the girls lost 552-352. On the bright side, the girls did better for themselves personally with Schwartz leading the group with a score of 130.
“I’m disappointed that we lost again, but I’m proud of us for improving,” said freshman Sofie McClelland.
In their third and final match of the night, the girls lost 497-388. However, they scored their highest overall score.
“We were competitive and we’re looking forward to our rematch in two weeks,” said Ms. Allison Papantoniou, the girls bowling team coach and the assistant principal for academic affairs.
