As the 2024 2025 school year winds down, three hot months of fun possibilities and no school are around the corner.
Although summer technically begins with the summer solstice on June 20, most consider the official beginning of summer to have been Memorial Day weekend. For Archbishop Carroll students, the summer break from school begins the week of June 9, during which each grade gets out on a different day.
Whether at a vacation destination or closer to home, plenty of school-free activities await.
“I’m looking forward to participating in the pie eating competition,” said freshman Carter McPherson.
Others look forward to a lack of activity.
“I’m looking forward to hibernating all summer,” said freshman Stephen Dambrowski.
For still others, summer holiday festivities are a highlight.
“I like having people over for the 4th of July,” said freshman Liam Goodridge.
