Tyler Alston: Senior memory

Tyler Alston

My time at Carroll has been short lived, but my time as a Patriot has been like no other. The Carroll experience is one that provided me with new memories every day. Some may be good some may be bad, but in the end it is what makes the whole journey worth it.

If I were to pick my favorite memory from my time at Carroll, it would definitely be this football season. This year I got to experience a whole new level of competition in the PCL because of the consistent Division 1 talent I was able to face each and every week. Not only that, my teammates and I were able to play in two Division 1 stadiums. First we got to play Seton Hall Prep in SHI Stadium at Rutgers University. Although we didn’t play our best game there, we were able to get our redemption at Villanova Stadium against a West Catholic team that we haven’t beaten since 2002. After coming out on top, it was a great way for my teammates and I to kick off the PCL season.

The games were fun but the memories that are going to always be with me come from the time that I spent with my teammates. Coming to Carroll I knew absolutely no one, but my teammates took me under their wing and showed me how to be a Patriot. The relationships that I made on the field this year allowed me to have my best season yet and I can’t thank my teammates and coaches enough. This past season we put up a record of 7-6 leading us to Carroll’s first winning season in over 10 years. I am grateful for this memory and I can’t wait to see what the program does in the future.
