Peter Brauckmann: Senior memory
May 28, 2020
Throughout my four years at Carroll there have been so many memories it’s so difficult to land on just one. But if I had to pick, my choice would be Patriothon 2020. Thon was something that we worked so hard to put together, and being part of the set up and planning process was so much fun.
The day of was one of my favorite parts of the whole process. We got out of class and spent the entire day setting up for the event that came that night; spending the whole day setting up for such a good cause with some of my best friends was so much fun.
Once we finally got to the night of, it seemed like all the stress was gone and we got to take in all of the amazing work we had done for the kids.
While I wasn’t part of the process from the very beginning, I can certainly say I wish I would’ve joined months prior to when I did in January. It’s truly such a fun experience and I would encourage anyone to help out in years to come, because I wish I had in years prior.
I’m so glad I was part of something like that. I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world.
