Joshua Smith: Senior memory
May 28, 2020
It was my first day at a Catholic school and I didn’t know exactly what to do. I didn’t know anybody at this school, except Eva Webb. I was new and had my start as a sophomore. As soon as I walked into the building, I had trouble figuring out where my classes were, mostly because I didn’t know my way around the school.
I walked into my homeroom. My first reaction was to just sit down and not say anything. At the beginning of every class, we had to do a prayer. My reaction to that was that I was freaked out, confused, and scared. After that happened, I had my first two classes and they were great. I had lunch after that. When I got my food, I didn’t know where to sit. Then, I met a girl named Ciera Simms. She asked if I wanted to sit with her and her friends and so I did. I met a lot of people at that table. I introduced myself to Briyana Morales, Sydney Brockenbrough, Darrell Worley, Kenny Williams, and other people at the table.
After my first day was over, I took the bus home, and I sat in the back because the back was more comfortable for me. While sitting back there, I met more people. I introduced myself to Daisy Elliott, Amani Fredericks, Lashante Fountaine, Ny’Mire Little, Ronell Whitehead, and other people. When I got home, I just sat in my room and I was just happy. I was happy enough to call Carroll my home now.
Josh, you look fabulous! Wishing you all the best wherever you go to college, you will definitely bring some fun I’m sure!
