Class of 2021 senior goodbye

Art has always been the most important part of my life since I was little. Being in art class the last couple of years I have been at Carroll has influenced me a lot.

Art is one of my favorite things to do. I’m very passionate about it and hard-working on it. It really helps my creativity and the way I think. The countless projects we have done in Mrs. Carpenter’s class have really expanded my skills with art, not only with drawing but with painting, sculpting, and other techniques that I hadn’t done before coming to Carroll. Mrs. Carpenter is one of the most amazing teachers.

Art is kind of like an escape from reality I would say. Art doesn’t always have to be painting and drawing; it can be shown in other works as well, which is why art is one of the most amazing things to do. With the many projects we did in art class, one of my favorite projects was the skull painting project we did our sophomore year. I mostly like the project because of the uniqueness of each person’s painting in our class. My painting had a bunch of fruit surrounding the skull and a vivid background color splitting into each other.

There are many more projects that we did the past couple of years but it is too hard to remember what each project was, to be honest.

I think everyone could do art if they put their mind to it. Everyone has their own artistic ability and anyone can make art as long as your painting or drawings or anything else really has a meaning to it or creative design. I have done art for many years ever since I could lay my hand on a pencil. Although I’m not doing art as a career in life, art holds a special place in my heart, and being in Mrs. Carpenter’s class has really helped my love for art grow even more.
