Mokhles Friji

Class of 2021 senior goodbye

I wanted to talk about my experience in Carroll. My only dream was to go to school in America, and, in fact, I achieved it.  Of course, my brother Atef was the reason I went to school here because he lives there and he is the only person who could take care of me.

My first days in Carroll were difficult. I faced a lot of problems, but I overcame them by myself and with the help of some.

In fact, there were a lot of people who bothered me, but also I had good friends at the same time, and I used to find them in a time of need.

I had many good professors, and the best of them is Miss Diane Gimpel.  She gave me a lot of opportunities if I failed anything. She was always a support for me in an English class. I want to thank her for everything she did for me in the past two years I spent in school and tell her that she is the best teacher in all schools in the world.

Likewise, I do not forget my brother Atef, who sacrificed for me. Many things he put behind him to give all his attention to me. I want to thank him for every moment he sacrificed for me and for every bead of sweat that fell from his head in order to make money to bring me to the U.S. It is not easy to take care of another person while you are, in fact,  still taking care of yourself at the same time, because at that time you will forget yourself and sacrifice every minute of your time to ensure that you do the right thing at the right time and place. I do not want to say much, but I want to thank my brother Atef for everything he did for me, and I want him to forgive me for any mistake I made.

I also want to thank many teachers at my school, Carroll, and I want to say thank you for all the sacrifices and everything you have done for me. My experience here has been more than good and I wish you a good time for you and your family.
