Karli Dougherty

Class of 2021 senior goodbye

Karli+Dougherty

My time at Carroll has had a tremendous impact on my life. The memories I have made and the friendships that I have formed over the years will be the times and people I remember and cherish for the rest of my life.

When arriving at Carroll as a little freshman, I was very to myself and was afraid to step out of my comfort zone. Moving through each year of high school, I learned who I am and what I can do. I challenged myself in each of my classes and met friends who helped me step out of my comfort zone and live life to the fullest.

The sports at Carroll helped me to get where I am today. Without the help and guidance of my coaches, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity of playing for such an exceptional school both athletically and academically. I played field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse at Carroll. All the different teams I have played with over my four years at Carroll, each team felt like a family. Every teammate I have had at Carroll welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like an essential part of the team. Not once during my time at Carroll have I ever felt like I had nothing to contribute to the team. This is because of the energy my teammates and I have exhibited while playing with one another. Yes, we win some, and we lose some, but the memories and laughs that we have shared together throughout our time playing with one another are moments that I will never forget, and I am thankful for that.

Finally, I would like to thank the Carroll community as a whole. The relationships that I have experienced in the Carroll community have helped build the person I am today. I take the lessons that I have learned from Carroll and use them every day to grow into the best person I know I can be. I will never forget what Carroll has done for me as a whole. I will be forever grateful for the experiences and friendships that Carroll has given me. Thank you!!!
