Senior goodbye: Connor Walmsley

Dear Carroll,

Thank you for the past 4 years of my life. As soon as I walked into the school that first day, I felt welcome and at home. It’s the faculty that makes the schools so welcoming. Whether it’s Mrs. Dudas always wishing me a good day when I’m late or talking to Mr. Quintois at lunch, the whole staff wants to be here and that is what makes the difference.

Thank you for allowing me to wear your jerseys and play under the name Carroll in multiple sports. The sports and friendships I have made from them will always be the highlight of these past few years. My senior hockey season is the main one that will always stick out to me. Even though we fell one game short of our ultimate goal, I wouldn’t trade that team for the world. Being a part of the Carroll teams you learn that being a part of the team is more than just playing the sport. It ends up as a brotherhood that is unmatched by anything I’ve been a part of. The coaching I have received from both hockey and lacrosse did not just affect my play but also helped prepare me for life.

Finally, thank you for bringing me to some of my most amazing friends. Without them this school wouldn’t be the same. The people at this school are what makes Carroll what it is today, and that is what I’m going to miss the most. Though I probably complained about every part of this school, I could not see myself at any other place. Thank you for a great 4 years and for preparing me for the next chapter in my life.
