Rihanna performed at the Super Bowl LVII, and left the many in the audience shocked after announcing her second pregnancy mid-performance.

Because Rihanna gave birth only six months ago to a son she had with boyfriend ASAP Rocky, some fans were confused when Rihanna showed off her baby bump during the halftime show.  Fans initially thought that Rihanna was still carrying pregnancy weight and expressed outrage on social media when others said they thought the added weight was another pregnancy.

The Super Bowl halftime show was Rihanna’s first performance in nearly four years, according to the New York Times. She performed a mashup of many of her most famous hits, while dancers executed perfectly choreographed moves. During the performance, Rihanna and some of the backup dancers were elevated on platforms that were at their highest 60 feet in the air, as reported in an article by CNN.

Rihanna wore a red jumpsuit, leaving it unzipped from the stomach up, and a tight bodysuit underneath showing off her baby bump. She rubbed her stomach as she was suspended in air, confirming that she was pregnant.

ASAP Rocky was at her performance, and was seen standing on the field supporting Rihanna as she entertained the audience. Rocky is a famous American rapper who has produced many hits and won many awards for his music.

“They’re just like any other pair of parents-to-be,” said a source for People Magazine, “Yes, they happen to be famous, but they’re just the cutest, giddiest young couple that’s expecting kids.”
