Dress down days take a dive

Dress down days are on the decline at Archbishop Carroll.

Because some students breached the dress code by dressing inappropriately on dress down days, random dress down days are a thing of the past. Students only will receive dress down days for specific occasions, such as the upcoming Best Buddies Week.

“This was not an easy decision because I love dress down days,” said Assistant Principal of Student Life Christopher Fryberger.

Students can help to bring dress down days back by following the uniform dress code on a daily basis and by following the theme of each dress down day when scheduled.

Senior Alayna Doerr is one student who is not happy with the new policy.

“I always look forward to the dress down days and I think it’s unfair that the entire student body suffers the consequences because of those who don’t follow the rules,” said seDoerr.

Another senior also shared her thoughts on the situation.

“I just want to show up to school in a sweatshirt and sweatpants,” said Karli Adams.
