Ms. Jamie Natale, the new marketing teacher, arrived at Archbishop Carroll just over a month ago and came to the high school to test the waters.

“I wanted to see if I liked teaching,” Ms. Natale said. “This job position was for a marketing teacher, and I have a lot of marketing experience.”

Ms. Natale teaches three courses here at Carroll, which include: Marketing, Intro to Business, and Computer Programming. Ms. Natale took the position held previously by Mr. Ken Brown.

Although Ms. Natale has only been here for a short period of time, her students have nice things to say about her.

“Ms. Natale makes me understand things,” senior Sarah Wood said. “She relates our class to real life examples, which helps me recognize the material better.”

“Ms. Natale is a great fit for our Marketing class,” senior Patrick McGonigle said.

Ms. Natale grew up in West Chester and attended Bishop Shanahan High School. After Shanahan, she attended Temple University and had a major in political science and a minor in journalism. Following college, Ms. Natale worked as a marketing copywriter for two years at a company called Hibu.

Ms. Natale had taken some teaching assistant classes in college but never tried teaching until the Carroll job opportunity presented itself. Ms. Natale is a long-term substitute teacher here at Carroll, but if she returns for the 2024-2025 school year, she would be a full-time teacher.

“I will probably make my decision in the summer,” Ms. Natale said.
