Zane Walsh: Senior memory

Zane Walsh

My best friend at Carroll is Andy Borkowski. Andy and I first met the summer going into freshman year on an all-star team with the best lacrosse players from Delaware county. Immediately after I met him, we were friends.

After the tournament was over, I didn’t really talk to Andy for a while, until around August. He texted me and asked what club lacrosse team I was playing for. I told him that I was playing for Mesa and that he should tryout, too. That next week I saw him at the Mesa tryouts and that was the first time we saw each other in around a year. We both made a team and had a good summer together and I told him I was transferring from the school I attended freshman year. He said I should transfer to Carroll and I did it. It was one of the best decisions of my life.

Andy and I have gone through a lot these past couple years at Carroll, like losing one of our best friends, Jake, and not being able to enjoy the full senior year together. Through this, I know me and Andy will remain friends for the rest of our lives.
