Spring uniform time has arrived

Archbishop Carroll students put their sweaters and senior fleeces back in the drawer and put on red or white golf shirts instead as the spring uniform season opened today.

The spring uniform at Carroll often begins after students return from Eastern break. Student are then permitted to wear their Carroll red and white golf shirts with khaki pants for the boys and plaid uniform skirts for the girls.

The fact that the season started a week later than usual perplexed some.

“I love the uniform overall,” said senior Gianni Russell. “I just wish we started the spring uniform sooner.”

Senior Mariah Kinder expressed a similar sentiment.

“I don’t know why they didn’t start the spring uniforms right after we came from [Easter] break, but I’m not complaining,” she said.

For some, the spring uniforms are a relief after wearing sweaters all winter.

“I really like the spring uniform,” senior Makayla Mallery said. “I think it’s more comfortable.”
