Archbishop Carroll’s boys swim team and girls swim team both lost to Upper Darby during the first swim meet of the season.

However, some Carroll sophomores won their heats and qualified for the Philadelphia Catholic League district competition. Those swimmers include: Konnor Roselle in the 200m and 100m freestyle, Brennan Donohue in the 200m individual medley and 100m freestyle, and Annabel Cook in the 200m IM and the 100m butterfly.

“The ones I see at their best as the new ones, and everyone else is kind of rusty,” said Coach Josh Patota. “Everyone is not quite at their height.”

Donohue said he’s looking forward to the future.

“I’m excited for this season and to watch my new teammates grow and to have fun,” Donohue said.
