The Archbishop Carroll girls’ basketball team took a huge victory against West Catholic on Thursday by a final score of 70-36. Alexis and Kayla Eberz had 25 and 17 points, respectively. The Lady Pats started the game out hot, taking a 6-0 lead before a quick West timeout. Throughout the first quarter, Carroll dominated on both sides of the ball, blocking multiple shots and having a relentless offensive attack. The Lady Pats took a huge lead with a score of 25-2 at the end of the first.
Carroll took its momentum right into the second quarter with more of the same. West Catholic picked up its scoring a bit, but not enough to compare to Carroll at all. The Lady Pats still commanded a big lead at the half by a score of 42-15.
The third quarter was more of the same for both teams. Carroll’s scoring slowed down a bit, but West Catholic failed to find any kind of momentum. The Lady Pats commanded a 30-point lead for all of the quarter. At the end of the third, Carroll led, 56-27.
By the end of the fourth quarter, Carroll was able to empty its bench. Eight of Carroll’s 11 players scored, including all of its starters. The Lady Pats kept increasing their lead in the fourth to finish with a blowout win.
