Community Service Corps spreads Christmas spirit

Archbishop Carroll got into the Christmas spirit of giving and donated $2,000 to help needy children!

The Community Service Corps (CSC) raised the money through its annual Christmas Drive. During the two-week-long fund-raising effort, students made donations during English classes across all four grades.  The CSC used the money to purchase gifts for 32 needy children selected by the Philadelphia Catholic Relief Services.  The children sent in letters to ‘Santa’ and the CSC used those letters as a guide to buys toys. All of the children attend archdiocesan schools in Philadelphia. The children received the presents at the archbishop’s Christmas party, where CSC members dressed as elves to hand out the gifts.

The CSC is made up of Carroll students from all classes joined together to help people in the community.
