In the heart of college application season, seniors at Archbishop Carroll are experiencing a variety of emotions as they receive acceptance letters in their mailboxes and inboxes.

William Englert, for one, is happy and proud.

“I feel great about getting accepted,” he said. “It makes me feel like I did a great job in high school,” said Englert.

For Jocelyn Welsh, the last year of high school includes one less worry.

“I am definitely relieved,” said Welsh. “Now that I’ve gotten my acceptance, senior year is a lot less stressful. Now, I can spend the rest of my senior year having fun and appreciating the time I have left.”

Gabriella Breault joins Welsh in feeling as though a weight has been lifted from her shoulders.

“A few months ago I was so anxious and stressed out because I didn’t know where to start,” said Breault, “Now that my acceptances have come in, I feel relieved and can’t wait to make a decision.”
