Beyoncé reigns as the most awarded artist in Grammy history.

On Feb. 5, Beyoncé took home four Grammys, bringing her collection to a record-breaking 32. Her awards this year were for best rhythm and blues song, best traditional rhythm and blues vocal performance,  best dance/electronic album and best dance recording.

“I think it’s cool to see Beyoncé make history, especially as a black woman,” senior Kendall Carson said. “It is really inspiring.”

In addition to becoming the artist who has won the most Grammys, Beyoncé collected the most Grammy nominations this year with nine. Furthermore, she and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, are in a tie for the musical artist with the most Grammy nominations. Both have received 88 nods, according to The New York Times.

“I believe Beyoncé deserves everything she has because she put nothing but hard work and dedication into her career,” senior Mariah Kinder said.
